LONDON, 14 April 2025 – Greg Keith will succeed Peter Bodin as CEO of Grant Thornton International Ltd (GTIL), one of the leading global professional services networks of over 76,000 people in member firms in over 150 markets, from 1 January 2026, Grant Thornton announced today. Peter Bodin ends his tenure as GTIL CEO in December 2025 after two terms, and the maximum eight years allowed under Grant Thornton’s rules. Greg is the current CEO of Grant Thornton Australia, this will be the first time GTIL will be led by an APAC-based CEO.
Martin Geh, Chair of GTIL’s Board of Governors, commented: “On behalf of the board and the entire network, I would like to congratulate Greg on his appointment as CEO-elect of GTIL.
“Greg is a current and prior member of the Board of Governors, bringing continuity and insight to the network. His extensive experience and commitment to the success of the network will inspire confidence in our member firm CEOs and our people. The board and I are confident that Greg is the right person to lead the network into the next chapter in our history.
“Peter has been an exceptional leader of the network for the last eight years, overseeing an increase in global revenues from USD5 billion to USD8 billion since he took over in 2018, increasing integration and quality through Leap, our global audit methodology and technology platform, and delivering the most collaborative strategy in the history of Grant Thornton, focused on both protecting and growing the network. Peter and I will be working closely with Greg to ensure a seamless CEO transition throughout the second half of this year.
“Following Peter’s appointment in 2018 (a former CEO of GT Sweden), Greg will be the first GTIL CEO from the APAC region, reaffirming our truly global focus and continuing the network’s leadership position in corporate governance. We were also the first major global network to appoint an independent chair of the board in 2020 and I’m proud to continue that tradition.”
Greg’s appointment received unanimous support from the GTIL Board of Governors, which includes CEOs of many of the network’s largest firms, following a selection process carried out with the support of external experts. His term runs for five years from 1 January 2026.

Greg has been CEO of Grant Thornton Australia for 10 years, during which time the firm delivered record revenues and growth, alongside a deliberate focus on its people and client experience. As CEO of the Australian firm, Greg used his passion for diversity and inclusion to create a positive workplace culture and broke new ground by introducing progressive parental leave schemes and a nine-day fortnight for all its people with no reduction to remuneration.
The GTIL CEO works with the board to provide leadership and direction to the global multidisciplinary network with the support of a global leadership team and around 150 people, within a virtual-first operating model. The CEO takes responsibility for communicating and embedding GTIL values, ethical and professional standards, quality, and inclusive leadership behaviours across the network.
